Oh, I'm not offended...I know that most people don't understand the importance of our history (*high nosed sniff*)

Believe it or not, I really would find that stuff interesting to see. Not that I would want to spend hours there, but a quick scan would def be interesting!

[Quick note--After I wrote this, I went back to look at it all again, and I realized my "reaction" was based on two or three of the earlier artifacts, and the rest (of the earlier ones) would bore me. Can you guess which ones interested me?]

Unfortunitally the link you give is outdated. I happen to be quite interested in old geniza. I think they are a proof from previous ages. People spent time writing. It wasn't as easy as today with a keyboard and computer you can write any rubbish you want. Back then it took talent and reasources. I kind of know what it is like because I am a beginner sofer, and let me tell you I can't imagine how hard it was for the rishonim, let alone the gemara to write down so much without being so dedicated to what they were teaching. But I think you must be careful when reading what is in the cairo geniza. I heard that you can't believe everything in there (for psak) because over time people put in a lot of wrong papers.

While on the subject of what you like, what type of actressing do you do? What does it mean to be an (frum)actress? Where do you act? Do you have a problem with tznius? I find this stuff kind of interesting.

The link worked for me! Try it again...
As for the actress thing, it's been something that I had trouble with for a long time, but I've found other outlets for it-the first one being Kol Neshama, a frum girl's acting camp in LA that I counselored at for two summers, and that I'm trying to copy here on the other coast...maybe someday I'll blog about it, but I try not to get tooooo personal..
